Thank you for choosing Dailydot ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it when you use the Dailydot mobile application (the "App").

1. Information You Provide to Us (Locally Stored Data)

Dailydot is designed with a privacy-first approach. The core data you create within the App is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to, nor do we store on our servers, the following information:

• Diary Entries & Moods: Your text notes, mood selections, and activity tags.
• Media: Photos you upload from your library or take via the camera, and voice memos you record.
• Goals & Important Days: Your habit tracking data, anniversaries, and countdowns.

This data is stored securely on your device using Apple's local storage frameworks (SwiftData). If you delete the App without backing up your device, this data will be permanently removed.

2. Device Permissions

To provide specific features, Dailydot may request access to the following device capabilities. We only access these features with your explicit permission:

• Face ID / Touch ID / Passcode: Used exclusively to lock and unlock the App to protect your privacy. We do not collect or have access to your biometric data; this process is securely handled entirely by Apple’s iOS.
• Camera & Photo Library: Accessed only when you choose to attach a photo to your diary entry or customize a cover image.
• Microphone: Accessed only when you choose to record a voice memo for a diary entry.
• Local Notifications: Used to send you daily reminders to log your mood and journal. These notifications are scheduled locally on your device.

3. Information Collected Automatically (Third-Party Services)

To improve the App's performance, fix crashes, and understand how users interact with Dailydot, we integrate third-party Software Development Kits (SDKs). These services may automatically collect certain device and usage information:

• Firebase (by Google): We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics. Firebase may collect device information (such as device model and OS version), usage data (such as time spent in the App and buttons clicked), and crash reports to help us identify and fix bugs.
• Facebook SDK (Meta): We use the Facebook SDK for analytics and advertising purposes. It may collect data such as your IP address, device identifiers (like the Apple IDFA, if you grant tracking permission), and app events to help us measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.

These third-party providers have their own privacy policies addressing how they use such information.

4. How We Use Your Information

The locally stored data is used solely to provide you with the App's core functionality (displaying your timeline, generating statistics, and powering your widgets).

The automatically collected data via third-party SDKs is used to:

• Analyze usage trends to improve user experience.
• Detect, investigate, and fix app crashes and technical issues.
• Measure the performance of our marketing and advertising efforts.

5. Children's Privacy

Dailydot does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take necessary actions.
